Anyone else a nervous wreck

I'm actually very calm.

Maybe it was the Xanax I melted and injected into my veins an hour ago.

(Kidding).

Who knows how I feel tomorrow though. Just so much more fun when you're playing in the NCAAT

Not really but a chance for Walter Sobchak to infuse us with some words of wisdom.

Go ahead and jump...

Nah, just kidding. Have a nice stiff drink instead. Might help with that stomach feeling too.

David Lee Roth of Van Halen said he wrote "Jump" as a reaction to him watching a live news story of a guy on top of a hotel(not sure if it was a Marriot) trying to "check out early", and telling the guy the opposite of what everyone else was telling him to do. Once in awhile contrarians get rewarded!

Myself, I am trying to calm my nerves by thinking about Erin Andrews nude video, and what kind of production the next one may have with a $55 million dollar budget. When I get tired of imagining that, I imagine Buzz Williams in 4 years(you heard it here first!!) seeing if he can be more patriotic(authoritarian) than whichever wins in the WWF/E match that will be Donald and Hillary. This board actually helped me forget about the game until I came upon this thread(no joking). Thanks a lot, OP!

Still on the fence about taking afternoon off to go home and watch...

Go, it sounds like you might secretly be looking for someone to offer some unsolicited wisdom and let you off the hook. AC/DC, as a spoken word intro to "Rock N Roll Aint Noise Pollution", offered this advice to those on the fence(and they even mention your name at the end, which could be a sign!) :

Hey there all you middle men
Throw away your fancy clothes
And while you're out sittin' on a fence
So get off your arse and come down here
Cause rock 'n' roll ain't no riddle man
To me it makes good good sense
Good sense yeah let's Go

I'm doing that. I'd have a tough time watching the NIT -- so knowing that this is the BIGGEST game of our season and it could be our last meaningful game until November...I'm definitely taking off. Tomorrow however -- I don't think I'll be taking that off if we win today.

One of the benefits of working in higher education is that spring break usually corresponds with the conference tournament.

By the way, I am not feeling optimistic. 2006 was the only year in my memory where the team needed wins going into the conference tournament and actually got them. In 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2008, they failed to get even one victory. I'm hoping they can reverse the trend.

Not nervous at all. I don't expect to beat Pitt with our current personnel and philosophy. It is just a bad matchup. We will need G or Malachi or Cooney go off and I don't expect that.
We could win this game I am just not expecting it and as a result am not nervous.

As always, it's been an entertaining and interesting ride. Enjoy the day and the next few weeks no matter how this plays out. And here's to many more seasons for all of us.

I am, I have that feeling in my stomach already, someone talk me off the ledge, and tell me we got this tomorrow.

No offense Brian because I generally like your contributions but it seems like you've made countless NIT posts for at least half the year. I figured you, of all people, would be mentally prepared for whatever happens today.

I have a doctor's appointment scheduled from noon to 5pm. They are performing some kind of procedure, thus the length of time. May even be late coming in tomorrow for work.

That's what my boss knows.

Absolutely no way in hell would I miss this game. My boss is cool but he's that "guy" who would tell me the final score even if I told him I taped it. I've got 16oz ice cold coors lights waiting for my arrival. Sucks that I actually have some work to do this morning.

I'm at work and recording the game so if you guys could not mention the game at all while it's happening or who won after it's over until like 6 or 7 tonight that would be greeeeeaaaaat mkay?

I'm honestly not nervous at all, but maybe that's because I'm going in expecting that we won't make the tournament. If we make it, that would be pretty swell, but this team has pretty much met my expectations for the year.
