My memory may fail me, but I think it had to do with academics.

Yeah, after a good freshman season he couldn't cut it academically.

Went to a MNF Bears vs Vikings game a couple of years ago and a friend of my brothers friend was with Otis in one of the luxury boxes. They called me on my cell phone and asked me to come over to the door of their seats and when I got their he had signed a really nice Bears football for me. Didn't get to meet him which I was actually happy about because the game was going into the 4th quarter, ended up going into overtime, and I didn't want to miss any of it.

Boring story I guess but made the whole experience even cooler.

Academics was the story I heard from some reliable sources close to the program.

It sure wasn't because of a lack of football prowless. He was a beast.

And the academics piece makes sense given his transfer to Louisville ... the Harvard of the Near South.
