anyone who questionewd the move to the ACC

This is why you make that move to a big boy conference. You think we would have gotten in if we were in the BE?

At first I agreed with this. But then I remember that the BEast would routinely put 8-10 teams in the tournament. We are still playing the same amount of tournament teams. We were already playing in a big boy league.

Much better post than the OP. Sorry Marsh, but this is true. Our record, SOS, and RPI would be completely different.

Orange Sleuth posted the last 10 yrs of SOS, and it went from great to terrible the 3 years in the ACC. Take it how you wish.

I meant if we didnt take the ACC bid and stayed in the new BE

Staying in the big east wasn't an option. We would be in the American if we didn't go to the acc.

Fair enough, but I still haven't reached the giddy level for being in the ACC. I'm sticking with the top 50 wins away from home, something that hasn't really been the Cuse's thing of late.

Im still giving you tribute though. the ACC ;)

I believe it was both SU and Pitt leaving that caused the breakup of the old Big East. We don't know what would have happened but we had Boise St and TCU coming in for football and we would have still had a killer conference with the same conference that got 9-10 bids in previous years. We can bash the old Big East but that conference would have had 8+ teams in this year. I still think we made a lateral move.

Also, if we moved to AAC... We aren't going 9-10 in that conference. We are sitting at the top of that conference every year.

TCU bailed on the conference as soon as the BigXII called.

Boise State was never coming.

This is why you schedule tough in the non conference. We ain't getting in beating canisius and Siena instead of UCONN and A&M.

Hasn't been the case for UConn.
They have gone through a coaching change...which is a change in philosophy. You see what it happened with Hopkins for 9 games. There will be a transition here as well. They also have a national championship during that time.

I agree with this, we just had a horrible commissioner and too many basketball only colleges

Jay Bilas advocated for Boehiem during the suspension and then a place for the team in the tourney. He is honorary Orange.
And Dan Dakich is an honorary ...he used to play like he was a Cuse backer
