If you couldn’t tell in the Gerry staff predictions thread, I’m all in on this hire. I have so much respect for what AO was able to accomplish as a player and if I’m remembering correctly, he was a fantastic student. Just a solid hire.

I’ll never forget his game vs UNC in the garden. Bullied the UNC big men in a way we haven’t seen since.

I am not one who feels like you need a big man to coach the big men, and I think if you look at the coaching staffs around the nation, the evidence will show that to be the case.

That being said, I am really excited to have AO join the staff and from reading the syracuse.com article, it sounds like he has a really good future in coaching.
