If there was ever a year for that to happen, its this year. I can't think of a defending champ that is bringing back as much as they are, and having 2 qbs on the roster that could play at any school in the country.
They also have arguably the easiest path to being unbeaten.
We'll see if they get the FSU treatment if they don't dominate...
That opener at Va Tech is tricky (I can't even imagine what the atmosphere will be like in Blacksburg), but after that you're right, it's an unbelievably manageable schedule. No hard road games until the season finale at Michigan, and even then Ohio State wins there all the time.

They also have arguably the easiest path to being unbeaten. Their schedule is not very difficult, with their only predicted close game against Michigan State which they get to play at home.
You mean that oct 24th trip to Piscataway won't give them trouble?

I agree, they are going to be very focused and out for revenge.I think they're going to roll VT. They've had this game circled since they won their title. Ohio State always seems to be one of the teams least affected by hostile environments.
If they end up losing a game, it will be one of those last 2 games of the regular season.
Well sure. But that can't be how the system works. They hadn't lost a game until then, coming off a BCS championship.
There was talk of leaving them out in favor of a 1 loss team.
If 13-0 with a OOC schedule of Oklahoma State, Florida, Notre Dame and winning a P5 league doesn't get you into the playoffs we should just shut down the program. The eye test and stuff should be used when comparing teams with losses or multiple undefeated teams. There were probably multiple 1 loss teams better than FSU. They should have been left out.
docsu said:They were never going to be left out unless they lost to Georgia Tech (and even then I would have kept them in). But they struggled against a relatively weak conference schedule, got the three seed in the playoff, and then looked like they didn't belong on the same field as Oregon. I thought the three spot was fair. In retrospect it was more than fair.

FSU wasn't great last year but they earned their spot in the CFB playoffs.
I just think any P5 team that goes undefeated is being put in an 4 team playoff. FSU playing 12 of 13 games games against P5 competition is getting them in as well. I agree they weren't storng but winning games gets you in.Were any of those teams good?
I sorta agree with you guys. If I was deciding it would be extremely hard for me to leave them out. But they did look like crap in many games and were pretty obviously not a top 4 team. Maybe top 8.
