As of right now, I think it's safe to say we are a completely average football team. We're not "bad" and we're not "good", we're simply average.
Obviously getting blown out sucks, but I think part of it is that we were blown out in consecutive games (I wouldn't consider Clemson a blowout). If the FSU and UNC games were separated in different parts of the season, I don't think it would be as psychologically frustrating.
In 2001 for instance (a year we finished #14) we had our doors blown off by both Tennessee and Miami, but it wasn't boom-boom right after the other so it wasn't as hard. It's still possible we could have a season sort of like that. Obviously, that immediately goes out the window if we don't show up on Thursday night.
