Maybe but it doesn't make much sense to me that he would turn down an interview with Syracuse only to pursue a HC job with a mid-major.

Pundits think Rich Rod is the best fit for SoCar. That makes sense hiring a current P5 coach versus a MAC coach cause fan base would go nuts with a MAC coach even if Babers is better choice. Hopefully SoCar makes a decision soon taking SoCar out of the mix. Have no idea What Rutgirls is doing. Babers is best fit for us imo.

That's not good for us. If RRod goes to USCe before Babers is locked up, I think he would be a favorite for the Arizona job as he has coached there in the past and the players in place are better than ours.

Good point. If Arizona does have to find a new coach, we still have the advantage of starting our search weeks earlier. But we need to wrap this up ASAP.

I'm rooting hard for Muschamp to South Carolina.

If RRod leaves AZ for SC, I don't see that being a great move for him. Columbia, SC is an armpit and he'll have a harder time recruiting in SC than in AZ. SC had a good run with Spurrier, but there are considerably better choices for SEC top tier recruits than USC/Carolina, what their fans like to refer to them as.
