As the season grinds mercifully to a conclusion

Very tough year. Hopefully, the seniors can go out with a nice memory. Hopefully, Fran can start making the changes immediately that keep this from happening again. I really don't want to hear anyone say "Well, 2026 will be another rebuilding year, and..y'know..."hard schedule", and...um...can't realistically expect more than 5 wins."

If we win, and I can't believe I have to use the word "if" for a home game against a 1-win team, then we can slowly start to think about next year with the hope that springs eternal among fans. After a suitable interval of course.

If we lose at home against a 1-win team, a lot of apathy is going to set in. A LOT.

This is Boston Freaking College, guys...time to end this season with something to remember other than Angeli's Achilles tendon and the historic disaster in South Bend.

If anyone expects anything different now it would be a surprise. When you have an OC who hasn't tried anything different as to plays he runs or player sets, you have s problem.
It's has to be obvious to anyone that Nixon refuses to adjust his offensive philosophy to adapt to the players he has.
Fran needs to get someone who can adjust to the players who are on the field.
Plus all our opponents know that there will not be anything out of the ordinary to game plan for.

I still cannot get over the fact that we have scored ONE first half offensive TD TOTAL in these last 7 games from hell, and that one TD was an 11 yard drive. That is historically inept, especially considering this era of high flying offense compared to the past. Even 2005 Syracuse wasn’t quite that awful, and that is saying something

Allegedly Dukes coach and QB this year are earning the same amount. Tough to tell with NIL deals, it’s been said here before that those numbers are inflated

Michigan thought he was good enough to take a chance on, so why not us, especially on Senior Day? He can’t possibly be worse than Filardi. Nothing against Filardi. I love him as a lacrosse player, but rolling with him at QB feels like waving the white flag before kickoff.

I'm hoping for 10-3 in 2026. We'll be good but never really in contention for the playoffs.

I know that record is possible because it happened in 2024. I expect us a dynamic offense and improved defense. I also expect an unexpected loss and a struggle against Pitt. 10-3.

villari can absorb the licks better than filardi . dude is tough. and they both throw crappy spirals.
give villari the grand send off he deserves. could be a hero. might give bc problems. who knows ?
