If Syracuse wants a recruiter that knows the recruits and the ACC landscape already without having to start over with fresh blood, then why not give Pastner a shot. He will work his arse off to get back to a head coach job and his recruiting skills will make him shine. He probably won’t be asking for that much money because he probably has a buy out from Georgia Tech. Just a thought.
Height, playing position etc doesn’t matter with being a great teacher, which is what the best coaches are. Bernie Fine did very well, no one would confuse him as a center. Please link the big men coaches who were college centers themselves that have churned out big center NBA draft phenoms as an assistant? Pete Newell who had the best big man camp for decades was 6’2” tall. The skills coveted in big men in the NBA now have changed over the years too.
