Class of 2023 ATH Kahlil Ali (NJ) Portal from BC

Rutgers fans already saying that he’s not a take because of his speed otherwise he’d have already have committed there lol

Duce 2.0?

Rutgers fans are delusional morons.

Proven scientifically.

So who gives a *** what they have to say about recruits? The cozy, fantasy land, rationalized amniotic sack that they collectively inhabit, where their program was going to improve is about to blow up in their faces due to Schiano being exposed as a piece of s*** coach.

Yeah, just like we shoulda done a hard pass on Meeks, since his #'s from UGA were horrible.

Or going back a bit - AET from Maryland.
Grabbing a kid from Georgia whom Fran had seen for 2 years vs a kid at a peer school with no numbers…I mean we have 105 schollies and if Fran wants to use one to get more Jersey boys, I’d respect it, but don’t expect this kid to be anything other than a special teamer.

‘Rationalized amniotic sack” - simply a classic. Well done.

He's got three years of eligibility left. Some kids take more than a redshirt and a year of part time playing to be ready to contribute.

You could look at him as BC took the bad years and we'll get the good ones.

He was a 4 star out of high school. Those guys do turn it to be busts sometimes, but they tend to work out more often.

Either way, it comes down to Fran's scouting report on him as to whether we go after him.

Yes...much like Laquint Allen was never gonna be an ACC RB.
Not saying you're wrong by any means, but just can't subscribe to the near certainty in your post. IOW- you literally have no idea what this kid is, or might turn out to be. At this point in his career, calling out his surmised trajectory makes little sense. JMHO

The reference to 3t and 1 solo are tackling stats? So 2 seasons, 10 games and 3 tackles total? If that is the case I cannot see how we would have interest unless doing a jersey kid a solid?

How many snaps did he play? Didn't say he was a starter right? How far down was he on the depth chart. Did he only come in the game during garbage time? Was his coverage good so he never got the ball thrown his way? There are so many variables to judge tackles as a DB...

Not saying he is good or not but that isn't a reason to knock the kid without all the data.

Knock the kid? Lol. Before I go further let me paste here your opinion you shared about Kaidon Salter:
Pass we can do better or we should have better expectations
Geez Phil why are you knocking the kid without all the data? Why knock a guy with 7900 yards and 77 touchdowns?

From the Google machine

"He redshirted his first year, but appeared in four games. He had two tackles in those games. This past season he was listed on the two deep at strong safety, but Omar Thornton and KP Price saw a majority of snaps at that position. He appeared in two games on defense (Duquesne and UNC) and had one tackle. On special teams he appeared in eight games, and has a pair of tackles this past season."

In 2024 Kaidon Salter had a 56.3% completion percentage only threw for 15 touchdowns on the year and had 6 INTs. That is a big downgrade from the previous season which is a red flag especially when they remain in the same conference. The previous year he was a 61% completion percentage passer and had 32 touchdowns with only 30 more passing attempts over the course of the season.

When you posted your comment about Salter you didn’t know those stats Phil or you would have added them to your statement I pasted above. All good though man. Just try to not to needlessly knock the kids. Moving on….

You are assuming I did not but of course I did. Which is why I said I would pass.

Do you know anything about his team, his OL, his WRs, anything? Hard to say it’s a red flag without knowing the entire picture.
