I have no idea why any coach with loads of options would want the Auburn job. They’re structured in a way that their boosters have more clout than at other schools, which is an issue since their boosters are also insane with wildly unrealistic expectations.

Lane is a great coach, but his personality would grate on Auburn boosters and I don’t think he could win fast enough or often enough to avoid being fired within 3 years.

Agree 100% their over the top boosters run that program and have unrealistic expectations.

The Tigers are now under the “Cam Newtown Curse” For his purchased season and the National Championship they won with the exorbitant amount of paying their players.

I think taking any job where you know in 3 yrs you get fired and $50 million would be fine to me.
