AWIII

Ennis leaving early should not us for half a decade. Cmon people...

We're 1/4 on point guards in the past few years. That's bad and that's on our coaching staff.

Ennis was good and left early. Ok.. That happens. Not an excuse.

Kaleb - flop.
Howard - flop. (So far)
Quade - got played worse than Rob Kardashian.

...and who do we have lined up at the moment to run the most important position in CBB? Nobody. Cool.

Extra frustrating when there's apparently other good PG recruits we could've had. We gotta bring somebody in next year.

That Monte Morris thread is an unforgivable mistake by the staff. Just unreal. Too many misses and mistakes in the past few years at the most important position in this game.

This kid averaged 18ppg at Nebraska. Outside of being a good shooter, he isn't a system fit offensively. JB likes to let his guards freestyle and make plays themselves - which works when you have someone like MCW or Ennis or even G. But AW3 is only effective if sets get run specifically for him - that's not the kind of offense we are. We don't run sophisticated offensive sets - JB sets ball screens then relies on his players to make plays. All of the good shooters we've had recently have been able to put the ball on the deck and create for themselves (even Cooney!). Lydon is different because he can score at all 3 levels, but AW3's game isn't a great fit for JB's offense this year. If Frank starts penetrating; if Gillon starts either finishing around the rim or dishing it back out when he gets amongst the trees; and if Lydon plays like he did yesterday - I think AW3 will improve. He needs to be around a set of players that can create for him and themselves. AW3 would have been perfect on that Ennis/Cooney/Fair team.

Is anyone on this roster a good fit for JB's offense? Maybe it's time to vary the game plan to fit the roster a bit. I don't understand the constant refrain this guy or that guy or all of them are great fits for the zone or great fits for the offensive system JB likes. Well how about, this is who you have....make a gd adjustment.

White is Marius Janulis. Nothing against him, and I like his hustle, but he's a limited player and Syracuse will be much worse for it if he and/or the decision-makers decide that he's a go-to player or that he needs to audition for the NBA by dribbling.

Boeheim should insist that he be a complementary piece and try to find a more complete star in Lydon or Battle.

The funny thing is when posters where saying "AW3 is not a good fit" I immediately thought of Janulis...And he did alright 1997-1998 shooting almost 40% from three (39.6)

Of course in 1998 he shared the floor with Hart and Griffin.

And knew enough not to dribble around and shoot fadeaways.

i sense A-trey may be stat padding. if he ain't hitting sit him down. he ain't earned no pass here.
