Babers presser thread

Enjoy him, friends! We will surely miss him at BGSU and I'm certainly jealous he's gone, but I'll be watching you guys next year and rooting for your success.
I am so excited to be an SU fan today, but it does make me sad that our good fortune comes at the expense of another respectable school.

He seems like an interesting guy and perhaps even a bit unorthodox in a good way. I would say Hicks is gone judging by how much he stressed conditioning.

He'll be bringing his S&C coach from BG. I can tell you that the SU players will have a very grueling spring and summer. Don't have too lofty of expectations for your spring game as everything won't be running smoothly until year 2.

Our Spring game is usually just a controlled scrimmage anyways.

Do you have an idea of what assistants will be coming and which ones will be staying/or finding a new job?

way
to introduce yourself Bud. What a clown.
Dino probably knows little of Bud and/or what he looks like. Bud asked him if he liked what he saw about Syracuse, (the school and City) almost implying that our City is bad. It would have been great if Dino said "I like everything I see about Syracuse except that moron who writes for the Post Standard and uses terms like "burgh" and "wizbangs".

Keep Hicks but move him to a new role (unless Coach Babers wants to keep him). Babers is well traveled and definitely knows some solid S&C coaches who fit his style of ball (if Hicks isn't the guy). It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

My only complaint...could they not have gotten a shirt that might fit him??? Although he looks like an xxxxl. He is built.

Without a doubt he'll be bringing his co-OCs, Sean Lewis and Mike Lynch. I'd also suspect his DC Brian Ward will be coming along as well after the BG bowl game is done. Other than that, I don't have much of an idea. A couple of position coaches were retained from Clawson's staff when he came in 2013 so I don't know if those guys are going to be moving on. One guy to keep an eye on is Nick Monroe as he recruited Florida very heavily for BG and brought in some talented guys.

Gotcha. I figured that would be a potential possibility as well. Thanks for chiming in. My brother taught at BG for a year recently and visited there a few times. Went to an awesome brick oven pizza spot/bar in Perrysburg for a few meals.

Linda, by year 2, you're going to have to find a bigger place than Half Moon for game watching. Just sayin' - better get on it! (LOL)
