In football, as a head coach? Yes. If you're talking any sport at SU, no.Is this our first minority coach?

BGSU's current Director of S&C is Sean Edinger:

I thought this part of his bio is interesting:
He has more than 18 years of experience in martial arts and was a United States National Karate Team Member for five years.
To Bees' point above, it seems that, based on his personal experience, that bulk is not prioritized as highly as flexibility.[/QUOT
Ive always said i would take Bruce Lee over any MMA fighter for this reason.Correct, the BG OL this year actually dropped weight to be more agile to run the offense as they felt their size hindered them from running things as quickly as they would have liked in 2014.
Edinger has some videos up through the BGSU Athletics YouTube page from workouts over the spring and summer if you're curious of what he preaches.
Spelling is not his strength, but he excels at speed and quickness.
It could have just been a message to SU fans that he's not taking people with him just because they were with him before but because they're the right ones for the job.Could be. I was surprised at the statement in such a great PC. Rather harsh if you're one of the coach(es) left behind. Looking forward to, as Igor would say, "Dino ball".![]()

He seems like an interesting guy and perhaps even a bit unorthodox in a good way. I would say Hicks is gone judging by how much he stressed conditioning.
It sound like the DC, Brian Ward did well this year, but he's coaching the Bowl game...so I suspect he may be staying put.
Why, he has a contract that can be bought out too.
completely unprofessional. I would have LOVED if Coach would've stopped him with "and you are??"
I would ask him for his name every time he asks a question for the next 6 years
Based on what I'm reading I'm probably wrong. Not a bad thing...he did week this year.
Why is there a chair next to the podium?
I finally watched the presser. Entertaining and uplifting, but then again, all the coaching hire opening pressers are.
Seriously, who let Bud in?
Do you like Hawaiian Punch? Ugh.
