background crowd noise

yesterday trying to listen to the golf could not even hear the announcers because the ambient crowd noise was so loud.. Today trying to watch the LSU-Ala game much the same.. they are not even in the building doing most of this so why crank it up so loud?

There were fans in the arena for LSU/Alabama today, and they were pretty loud for only being 20% of capacity. I’m not sure that was fake crowd noise being pumped in.

its not fake.. its the fact they are mixing the mic sounds with the other sounds.. like on golf i can hear the wind and the birds but not the announcers.
