But the Qb was still a yard in bound. Keon has his hands on the kid a yard in bounds and gives him the shove on the line. Hate that . Keon blew it and so did the official.

Incorrect, Keon did not blow it.

The adults getting paid to do a job blew it.

Yep, Keon shouldn't even chance it and shove him to leave it in the refs hands to make a questionable call. Gotta show some restraint.

That's not Keon's job. He's in the field of play and the guy could turn up on him.

One of the worst situational, and absolute, calls I've ever seen.

That ref should be fired.

I think the problem was how the guy fell/slid out of bounds. Lyn didn't really push him hard--just made sure he went out of bounds. Problem was, the kid's momentum made him fall and slide a long distance into the wall. That was what drew the flag, even though Lyn didn't hit him late and the shove wasn't a major hit. It was almost like an anticipatory whistle in basketball--ref sees the kid fall and slide and automatically throws the flag. Sucks.

Which is exactly why that person should not be the head referee for a major college football game. He should know better.

For the record, it wasn't close.

Now, our two-minute offense and defense leave a lot to be desired, but that call was indisputably a "the Big 10 ain't gonna lose here" call. Must be coincidental they called a holding penalty on our first play of the "winning scoring drive" also...

Same ref was going to give us the ONE holding penalty they called on them...

That call is made 99% of the time the same way it was today. If Keon is not smart enough to know that he shouldnt be on the field in that circumstance.

Whatever. Karma for Toledo and the Kansas State touchdown penalty.
BULL***T!!! Toledo and K-State only balanced out Oklahoma and Tennessee. We're still owed for Michigan.

Keon continued to push the guy after he was well out of bounds. It was a bonehead play. Didn't he do the same thing vs Rutgers last year?
