1 guy just dropped his avg below that and...Jeter, i dont think got enough HRs.

cant remember how many HRs Brett had, but it was less than Nettles.

Pujols actually missed by just a hair... his career average was .298.

He had a few lost seasons in the early 2000s, which significantly derailed getting to 3000 hits. I think his batting average was in the .270s or .280s

284 just looked it up. If he stayed healthy no doubt he hits 700 plus homers and gets 3000 hits.
