Baylor does not have one player that was a top 50 HS player

Good scouting and good player development. I don't know much about their personnel. How have they managed to keep their upperclassmen? Is it a case of good college players that don't translate well to the pros?

Yep.

one of our best teams was the 2010 team and I don't think that team had a top 50 player on it

High school rankings are a snapshot of a player at a particular point in time. Also, I think the sport has grown so much in popularity that there are just more good players than there were in past decades. A #100 guy now might be as good as a #50 guy was a generation ago. You probably couldn't have a top team without a Top 50 guy then. Now you can.

That’s what you get with good coaching and player development. This also speaks to the rise in the number of good to great players at the college level. This years March Madness was a testimony to that!
