baylor's offense might be the best ever

they had 400 yds off offense . did you watch the game.. 220 on the 3 passes for touchdown. the other nine drives went on avg 20 yds and that includes the first 60 yd drive they scored on.
7 times they didnt cross outside their own 40. KSU was much the better team for 90% of that game.. but a couple times the baylor speed made plays. they had half as many yds and points as previous games is that not a struggle for them?

the reality is that big plays are made because someone screws up or someone makes a play or because of execution.

clemson had big plays against us, one was speed, 2 were our fault and one was executed well.

How about big plays were made because they have one of the best receiver tandems in the nation in Antwon Goodley and Tevin Reese who combined have about 1300 receiving yards and 12 TDs?

Baylor is a paper tiger? I think your view is at odds with objective reality.
Wow, Esquire - you are a confident young lawyer! Perhaps it may make sense to see how Baylor performs in the 2nd half of the season prior to crowning them as an elite - offensively or otherwise. Objectively, they've played Wofford (NR), Buffalo (#73), LA-Monroe (#87), WVU (#64) and KState (#62). They next play Iowa State (#82) and then Kansas (#111) the next two weeks - more junk.

The meat of their schedule is yet to come. If they blow through it - I will still argue that the B12 is down considerably. And will be interested to see how they might fare against 'Bama, Oregon, Clemson, or FSU. Again, they are very fun to watch. And their stats right now are amazing. But let's wait a bit and see if their last game against KST is a little bit more representative - as upperdeck gently suggests.

If I am wrong, remind me at the end of the season and I will eat crow.

was Willie Gault a great NFL rcvr? when he caught it it went for big yards and TD's otherwise he just wondered around the field. It would be like me playing against a grade school team.. When i have watched the baylor offense the WR run fly patterns over and over and a couple times a game it works. against poor teams it working 4-5 times. is that superior play design or superior athletic ability . the RB is elite though.

So in your view of reality, a team has to be perfect in the Big 12 conference AND beat 'Bama, Oregon, Clemson or FSU in order not to be deemed a paper tiger? Even if the Big 12 is down this year, that's quite a high standard to meet, and few teams can accomplish that.

Objectively, Baylor is riding a nine game winning streak continuing from last year with wins over Kansas State (1), Oklahoma State (23) and a Holiday Bowl victory over UCLA (17). This is the third longest win streak in the country. They hold many offensive-related records and Coach Briles was deemed mid-season Coach of the Year.

Hardly a paper tiger.
