BC game is great. Nm

SU is going to have it's hands full with some talented teams this year and this BC win just adds to the fire. Seriously, does anyone really want to add 1 or 2 more Big 5 games in the OOC schedule now? I certainly do not because this ACC thing is taking off with talent.

That's like saying the win over Louisville in '12 was the biggest win for SU since Nebraska.

Yeesh.
I know you like to troll and speak down to people around here in general and act all high and mighty...but BC beating a Top 10 team at home is a big deal. BC hasn't had many big wins or been competitive in that many big games since that Flutie play. To actually win one is a huge deal for them. That was huge last night

The SU comparison you made is silly since ya know,...all of the 1987 season took place. But whatever you are entitled to your .2

You mean the Boston College team that just since 2000(in other words not including the 15 years prior) has:

beaten Boise St in a bowl,
beaten an 11-2 BYU team,
gone 4-5 vs Clemson including 2 wins on the road,
beaten FSU three times, including twice on the road,
beaten UGA in a bowl,
gone 7-2 against UMd,
beaten Miami twice in the last three years,
beaten Mich St. in a bowl,
gone 6-3 against NCST,
gone 6-5 vs ND,
gone 2-0 vs PSU,
beaten VT five times and played them twice in the ACC championship game.

Nope not many big wins or competitive in many big games.

Nope not at all.

Were ANY of those teams at the time of the game ranked in the Top 10 when they beat them? Answer NOPE! That's what makes last nights win the biggest out of all the ones you mentioned as I stated earlier.

Have a nice day!

You do know that in 1984 BC finished 10-2 and Miami 8-5, right?

Considering they beat an ND team that finished 11-1 and #2 in the country in 1993 in ND's last game of the regular season I'd say the answer would be YES!

They beat an 8-0 ND team in 2002 coming off a win against FSU, so they were probably ranked higher than 9th. Since VT finished 9th for the year with a loss in their bowl game it's pretty safe to assume VT was ranked in the top 10 when BC beat them in 2007.

So I guess you would be wrong.

I hear Marrone is getting ready to sign a 10 year extension.

My dad and my brother went to Boston College they are big fans, the 93 ND game is the biggest that they remember. That is their Nebraska, or 87 PSU game for us.

Fwiw.
