BC opens -4.5 over Syracuse

Was planning on going as I'll be back for thanksgiving but I've completely lost the desire. Would rather do something with family and friends who I don't see much of.

All year I've thought we would beat BC but I'm skeptical now given what has happened to us.

with the 1230 kickoff you dont have to decide you could hang with friends/family from say 3 on and still go to the game

I avoid Sunday Thanksgiving traffic at all costs. So my options are:

A - Go to the game, then drive back to DC straight from there, get back around 10 pm.
B - Just leave Saturday morning and get back to DC around 4 pm.

It didn't take much to convince myself to go with Option B. I'll catch it on Sirius.

Well, taking my wife and girls up to the hill for the first time. I have been there plenty solo after graduating, but thought it was time to get the whole crew up there. Wish it was under winning circumstances and the Dome was full but I am still excited. So much to show and explain about this great University. Hopefully we get out of this season with a win. I graduated in 96, never thought in a million years that SU football would be in this situation. I still have hope! Go Cuse!

BC has one of the best defenses in the country.

We don't have one of the best of anything.

Look, BC has sooooo many advantages over SU. I mean they're a private school in an area with poor natural recruiting with a tepid fanbase and adequate at best facilities. How can we expect to compete with that?!

It's kind of fitting since last season we had one of the worst statistical offenses of the past two decades in college football.

This is why the "youth" and "bare cupboard" arguments only go so far. Teams can be bad, it happens. We are historically bad. All time bad.

Well, the Vegas opening line has correctly predicted all 11 games this year. I'd say that's a pretty solid indicator of who will win.

I don't but it's really not my point. Vegas is based on public perception. And if we win? Then what? I'm not surprised we are underdogs. Most of the public probably thinks we'll lose. But it doesn't say to me look how far we've fallen, BC is favored.

They did score 76 points against some guy named Howard, but 11 against 1 should still produce more points than that.

Even with our defense, if we can get to 20, we will win.
