In with a large group of probably 20-30.
So, that 20-30 ended up being closer to 75.
Think we parked somewhere in Canada as we had to show our passports to get to the stadium anda the signs were all in French.
BC law school alums told us they paid $250 for a one-day parking pass close the stadium. We paid $40 which is why I think we had to park out of the country.
BC has an interesting tailgate philosophy. Once game starts, security drives around telling people to stop tailgating because the game has started. Do a lot of BC fans forget to go to the games? They do the same after the game telling people to wrap it up and go home. Do a lot of BC fans forget to go home? Strange.
Paid for one of those tailgate tables in the middle of the grassy area in front of the stadium.
Beautiful day. Lots of Orange.
Anyone who complains about anything related to the Dome should be sentenced to spend a season at Alumni stadium. A glorified high school stadium.
We sat on visitors side. The BC fans in our section were...interesting.
Many were clearly more interested in auditioning for "So you think you can dance" than the game. Many stood around in groups with their backs to the field. Many were clearly highly intoxicated.
If both teams had left the field, I'm not sure many of them would have noticed as long as they continued to sell beer and play music at ear-splitting decible levels.
Our refusal to stack the box allowed BC to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 6,000 yards rushing (can someone confirm? - maybe closer to 7,000?).
Buckle up for football in a baseball stadium in December.
Spoke to someone at tailgate who is involved in NIL...says we need to 5MM a year to be competitive (ie top 30) in hoops and 10-15MM a year for football...
Suspect we are not there yet...No idea how far off we are...
We'll see if Bud Fox's Dad, er..if Fran Brown has a QB, on the board of another public company, er...playing for another P4 school...
