VT is one of the teams I dislike the most in college football.

Fortunately for me, they stub their toe and underachieve every single @#$ year, so it is rewarding to root against them. Beamer has had a good run, but he's extremely limited.

ECU has found a way to keep themselves relevant for a small school with little football tradition. If I were a major conference I'd be sniffing around ... and if they could even be competitive in basketball that would make an even more amazing set of North Carolina basketball teams.

Beamer Ball was built on beating up cream puffs, play a couple decent teams and lose to a top team. He rarely beats top teams and is OK against decent teams, but his numbers are puffed by the number of panzies VATech has beaten up on over the decades. The Rutgers formula for success is nothing more than Beamer Ball moved to Jersey. When faced with multiple decent teams and top teams annually, VATech falls on its face because it is hype. Aside from the criminally minded Vicks, they have had no offense under Beamer. Rant over.
