Bear? D. Davis?

Need these guys back. Hopefully some of the younger guys are getting some reps for additional depth ROS.

Darton and Lockett got most of the NT reps in the second half. They held their own, although against lesser competition. But hopefully, they can carry some of the load going forward.

I'd assume Ellis is next-man-up at Guard. He got a couple of snaps on Saturday night. While young, he certainly doesn't lack in size.

Agree on Darton - effective inside. Lockett held his own, especially for a young player. Okechukwu played outside, but he showed some promise (first half). Unfortunately as we get into the schedule against bigger/more talented fronts, we could very well get exposed at NT without Bear.

Yep - agree. But Darton and Lockett are getting reps, so that's something.

according to PFF, in limited snaps, 17, Darton graded the highest of all DL.
26% of all defensive snaps. Seems firmly like a rotation guy, at least for one game.

Seems like this could end up being a good story. I remember him popping into games last year and thinking who is this guy? He's not in any recruiting database from 2019, that I can find.

Did he get a scholarship yet?

I remember when we landed Darton as a PWO -- and then you watch film and see the athleticism, and it was clear that he wasn't a typical walk on.

Kid's short for the position, but not small. Reminds me of a more athletic Derrick Corley [who was also short]. We're lucky to have him -- he'll earn a scholarship soon, IMO.

Also, hope we can get 10 - 15 snaps from Bear this Saturday.

We open the season with 9 straight games. We're going to be sweating the IL all Fall.
