Beat Florida State!

It looks to me like Florida State will be competitive with a grand opportunity to establish that winning culture that you refer to. They're vulnerable but have great athletes. We'll have to play well to win. It seems we have more capable receivers than we had feared and think Howard could be a semi-secret that Dino broke out late against Wagner just to give him a little work before Florida State. Howard and Neal in the backfield could be fun with Strickland in the slot. I think we're going to see some very good football from Dino, Dungey, and the guys this year. A loud dome could be the key to victory over the Seminoles. They're struggling and playing against a decent team on the road...Whose house?
This is one of those games where you talk about developing a winning culture and learning how to win. A team with flaws all over the place, that is not grounded with a new coach. This should not be a VT or Clemson but instead just a team ready to prove it can do what it should at home vs a struggling team both physically and mentally. Win this one and add that notch in the mental belt to get out there and blaze the trail for a bowl game. Get to 4-0 and both our guys and the opponents see us for differently.

I think we need to be ready for FSU to come out swinging.

Those players didn't go to Florida State to be in late game battles with Samford.

Mentally, they could either fold or rally. If I'm Taggert, I've seen nothing from our defense that tells me not to test us deep. I'm throwing long early and often. Thong Song is going to have opportunities to add to that interception total.

For us, if ever there is a game to let Dungey do Dungey things, this is the game. It would not hurt at all for Custis to continue his senior season redemption tour.

Might come down to the little things, and if it does, I like Babers in year three on the little things over Taggert in year one.

We're 2 for 2 coming out strong this season. Need to keep that going. We can't have another dog game after showing promise. We just can't keep laying eggs.

I think the key here is getting ahead early. If we can get up by 2 scores in the first half, I think the crowd will be nuts and it will be very hard for them to come back.

I'm honestly asking cause I haven't followed the offseasons of any other team ...why did Jimbo Fisher leave Florida State? They were in the playoffs and were recruiting well in the past 4 years. What happened?

money and jimbo and fsu boosters didnt get along

Thong song is the best new nickname in recent memory. Good work.

Do dogs lay eggs?

I’ve been seeing a lot of comments about Dino hiding assets before Florida state. This is not how football works. Live reps are much more valuable than tipping a hand, especially when it’s around freshmen.

I think it was a whole lotta money.

A&M has never been shy about shelling out for top-tier coaches.

If this is the case, I hope their money burns and Jimbo doesn't last 3 seasons

I live 70 miles from Tallahassee. I work with a bunch of FSU fans. One of them said to me today, 'hopefully the hurricane will slow down Eric Dungey'. I said dude we play in a dome . He said 'oh that's right'. LOL

FSU still has more talent top to bottom than we do. We'd maybe start most of their 1 deep. I think the only position we're better is QB. But it's a team game.

I would argue a few of our Oline is better. In fact, their OLine depth chart consists of a walk-on and that's about it.

I'm not sold on our OLine right now. I was actually a bit disappointing with how many times Dungey had to scramble vs Wagner and I noticed a few times Servais getting moved into the backfield after snapping the ball. We still don't know if they can run block yet either. Stat analysis aside WMU was not good and Wagner is a high school team. We'll know after Saturday if our OLine is any good. After 2 games I'm not bullish on them.

Ok, but I'll take some of them over FSU.

I've been slightly disappointed in our inability to get sustained drives. The "O" concerns me despite 55-62.

Would love s little ball control Saturday, still worried that Francois will carve up this young secondary.

Ward has an interesting decision Saturday regarding pressure - It might be wise to play soft and safe and let FSU implode each drive.

Putting pressure opens up the chunk yardage game...which I think we want to avoid.

I'm not sure I understand your concern. with Dungey on the field, we've punted, what, twice, three times in 2 games? Part of the issue with sustained drives is we've only started inside our 30 yard line TWICE! Otherwise, we are killing it in the field position battle, and that lends to short, quicker drives.

Oh, and Francois isn't going to cut up anyone. In fact, he got hurt against Samford and Blackman had to come in. Do we even know who's starting for FSU?
