Belichick to UNC

The girlfiend thing is interesting but I think there is too much time spent talking about everything except football. BB is the greatest coach of all time. Just from watching his teams play. Seeing how prepared and disciplined they are. He might be 72 but he still knows what it takes to win ball games. I can see him winning 9 or 10 games out the gate.
Greatest coach of all time. Thank you Tom Brady

Looking at their schedule, if they don’t beat the win total over/under if 7.5 this season is an abject failure. But I expect this to go about as well as Joe Gibbs not-at-all-triumphant return to coaching two decades ago -I’d be more likely to bet the under.
A lot factors into these games. If they don’t win at least 7 it’s because of injuries or the staff had struggles building early continuity. There are a lot of new parts getting assembled. I just wouldn’t be surprised if they won early on. They have guys that can coach.

Eh. Having a great 50 yr old coach is a world different than having a great 72 year old coach. The Boeheim if 2023 wasn’t the same coach as he was in 2003. Age catches up to everyone, thinking BB can do the same thing now he did 20 years ago requires discounting that possibility. I wouldn’t be shocked if he pulls out a solid 9 win season - the schedule is easy enough for that to be on the table. But I wouldn’t be shocked if this was a 4-8 trainwreck either.

That’s a really shallow way to look at their dominance. Brady had a 6-7 playoff record & 0 rings in seasons where he didn't have a top 8 scoring defense.

All SB winning teams defense for the Pats avg together to 11th in dvoa and 4th in ppg.

PPG allowed vs winning teams and their rank:

2001-19 Pats: 20.8, 1st

Patriots avg special teams rankings

2001-2019, 7th.

NE was 3rd in defensive EPA from 2001-2019

It's just what he does.

He loves mayonnaise too. That should tell you a lot.

Having watched his last few years in New England, I don't think it's any sure thing that he'll be successful. He really mismanaged the roster, and had a lot of square pegs in round holes on gameday.

Like I said, on gameday itself he's good enough to win games with his acumen. But that's really the only plus he has going these days. He hasn't been the Bill of 2018 since... well, 2018.

As a GM he didnt help himself the last 5 years. I think he made a lot of emotional moves based on his relationship with Kraft. Coaches coach. We will see if all the college distractions get in the way of that.

I just think their schedule is easy and he will have a coaching advantage in a lot of these games. Hopefully not against SU lol

He'll definitely have a game day coaching advantage. Most college coaches are lousy and win due to talent disparities.

Their schedule is definitely light but that's what happens when you play in the ACC and set up a workable OOC slate. They still have to play TCU, Clemson, Duke, NC State, Cal on the road, and us.

We'll see. Bill wasn't Bill his last few years in New England, and I don't see much evidence that he's rising and grinding in Chapel Hill.

He has slowed down for sure. He's 72. His issue was giving himself a bad roster and thinking his coaching would over come it all. He knows he needs good players at this level. His knowlege is still the same. Get his assistants to coach the kids up and manage the game well like he's always done. Gonna be interesting

Oof…she can keep most of that private. “He approached me with nothing on but a sleeveless hoodie. All I could see is his husky, wrinkled body and saggy balls in silhouette. I was grateful for the lack of light. But, I knew what I must do to get what I want…”
Looks like you have a future writing that kind of "literature". ;)

I see more than a little Anna Nicole Smith in his 'girlfriend' and expect her to be sucking his bank account (and only his bank account) dry when he's in his octogenarian dotage.

feels like i'm 13 again reading the forum section in a magazine I used to look at.

The grand experiment is becoming an epic fail. How sad for Bill.
