Benny by the numbers

explain how you improve at 2, 3 , 4 minutes a game ? (16 games under 10mpg)
on a sub 500 team no less ! showed his chops against duke.
Play well in those minutes and stay on the court and earn more time, and eventually enough trust so that you are allowed to play through mistakes.

you mean a fast start like say ...
1/11 , 1/7, 0/0, 1/5, 0/5 ,1/2 , 4/10, 0/1,0/2, 2/4, 4/8, 0/1, 0/1 ,3/11 ?
that was buddy as a frosh first 14 games. trust those numbers ? still fed minutes.
and we all know what an excellent defender and rebounder he is. yet he slid into 30 minutes a game after that. and that's 68 shots total if you do the math . benny had 62 fga this season in 29 games. hardly a level playing field. one played. one sat.

Buddy at that point was a developing 3-point specialist. He became that by the end of his freshman year, and then went on to become much more, apparently to your displeasure. Sorry you had to suffer through his career here.

On the other hand, much more was expected of Benny coming in. He struggled in most phases of the game this season, and was a real liability most nights, which was why he sat. Next season can be a different story for him, as it has proven to be for many talented players in SU history. Some of those names can be found in the link in post #5 of this thread.
