I always hope that kids do well whether they stay here or go elsewhere and I never take the actions of a family member out on the kid.

I hope Benny does really well at UCF.

I will say that JB had nothing to do with Benny's struggles this past season as JB was no longer in the picture.

I think i got confused by the recent context of the thread. I knew benny's role has been discussed, but considering conversation had shifted to Mintz's grandfather I thought Mintz was getting pulled into that. My mistake.

Feels like a good bet, in a way. These kids might now be in the right frame of mind to respect their opportunities and recognize the consequences. A second chance (or third) might be the impetus toward ‘focus’ and discipline.

Johnny Dawkins is a really good guy. I got to know him fairly well when he was on the coaching staff for the 2008 Olympics team. Stanford was a really nice fit for him on many levels. Too bad he did not win enough games there.
