i dont see how adding 6 crappy fb schools is going to do anything. It will make the bball league bloated even more than it is, and begin its dip into mediocrity. Pitt and Cuse are bigger bball losses for the big east than vtech miami and bc were

Most definitely. Pitt and Cuse are perennial top 10 teams, combined for 3 #1 seeds in the past 3 years, and 6 top 3 seeds in the past 3 years also, if I'm not mistaken

Will these schools join basketball also? UCF ECU? Memphis is good, but for how long? How long before the BE has 3 ranked teams and 18 *tty teams?

Big East needed the Big 12 to collapse to even attempt to salvage any of their relevance by adding teams that have some value from the Big 12 scraps, adding the teams they are talking about will do nothing but make it a C-USA type of conference.

BE not only lost SU and Pitt, but TCU is no longer coming to the BE but going to the Big 12. Pretty bad when you can't even reel in the fish you have hooked. Here's a question, if TCU isn't coming to the BE next year and is paying the $5 million exit fee, does SU and Pitt get a share of that since thery ae still members for antoher 27 months?
