At the ripe old age of 78, he is STILL the most informative/entertaining college basketball color man in the business!
What about Dino Gaudio? At the ripe old age of 78, he is STILL the most informative/entertaining college basketball color man in the business!
I realize many don’t like Jim Nantz, however he is smooth at any sport he is the main announcer………very smooth and doesn’t bring the the spotlight upon himself……Grant Hill was decent as well.
Yeah, he misses too much these days. Time for him to pass the batonI realize many don’t like Jim Nantz, however he is smooth at any sport he is the main announcer………very smooth and doesn’t bring the the spotlight upon himself……
Raf is the best in the business. At the ripe old age of 78, he is STILL the most informative/entertaining college basketball color man in the business!
His enthusiasm is unparalleled, but Raft is better at in game analysis while also having fun.‘Lest we forget - Dickie V.
I will take Raf over Dickie V. 100 out of 100 times.‘Lest we forget - Dickie V.
With a Kiss!!!I will take Raf over Dickie V. 100 out of 100 times.
Nantz got caught anticipating and missing foul calls quite a bit last night. He is losing some stuff off his fastball.raf is great. replace nantz with ian eagle
I was thinking the same thing as I watched the game.At the ripe old age of 78, he is STILL the most informative/entertaining college basketball color man in the business!
Agree. Best announcing team ever. Wondered why Raf left. Probably money. True chemistry without detracting from the game.Last night's crew was very good imo. However imo the best ever hoops trio to me was Raf, Bilas and McDonough. Maybe it was because Syracuse was fun to watch during that era and was still part of the Big East.
Imagine a 6 overtime game with some of the crews Cuse fans have seen the last few years in the ACC and being a subpar product from an entertainment aspect. Yikes!
His dad was former Reds manager Bill McKechnie if I remember correctly. When I was a kid I used to listen to Jim McKechnie doing the Nats games on my little GE clock radio. I thought he controlled what happened in the game. He had to be the all time "homer".
I luv Rafferty. ONIONS
Raf left because the Big East went to Fox and Fox Sports 1 and he wanted to do those games and limit some of his travel.Agree. Best announcing team ever. Wondered why Raf left. Probably money. True chemistry without detracting from the game.
It's because he parachutes in to call college bball in March and knows little about what's going on.Yeah, he misses too much these days. Time for him to pass the baton
Pre 2000 Vitale yes. Post 2000 his Duke cheerleading was nauseatingHis enthusiasm is unparalleled, but Raft is better at in game analysis while also having fun.
