The block punt for TD didn’t change much. They scored every possession besides one (not counting the last ) We actually saved our defense some wear and tear .

That's why I rarely listen to coach's press conferences anymore. I figure whatever I want to hear an explanation of has already screwed up my mental health once and the explanation almost always makes it happen a second time.

It gets even worse when you consider that they had even more time than usual to come up with this game plan considering there was a decent delay after the PI penalty

Agreed but this just confirms what I think most of us already know. McDermott in a big spot will always turn into a pumpkin. He just isn't gonna win the big one ever. 13 seconds, Bass fg vs Mahomes, the O debacle in this game etc. Dude just doesn't get it in big spots and never will.

I mean that this specific game , had we successfully punted it, they were going to drive right down for 6+1. There was no extra possession gained by the block as we were punting
