I mean that this specific game , had we successfully punted it, they were going to drive right down for 6+1. There was no extra possession gained by the block as we were punting

It still made it a 2 possession game that soon which changed how both teams approached the game.

Imagine if the Rams had to go to a straight drop back game to win the game at the end

This might sound crazy, but I don't think the Bills/Lions game will end up being all that important to Buffalo.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but even with a loss there, I'm pretty confident the Bills will end up being the 2 seed in the AFC. They have three layup games to finish the season with Patriots, Jets, Patriots. Catching KC is probably unlikely at this point, and the Steelers have a brutal upcoming schedule with Eagles/Ravens/Chiefs.

That isn't happening. Ravens already have 5 losses. I'd just like to avoid Baltimore altogether.

Pittsburgh has a 65% of winning the North. All they need to do is beat Baltimore and the division is over. They could lose the rest of their games and it wouldn't matter. Personally I think Baltimore is quite overrated. They are two missed Evan McPherson FG’s away from being 6-7 and have played .500 ball the past two months.
