Bills 2024 Thread - Misery loves company

Our playoff fate will be determined by our offense. If the D does anything beyond mediocre it is a huge plus
Holding the opponents scoreless on three possessions should do it. Maybe throw in a turnover.

Agreed. Mediocre might be just good enough if the offense keeps rolling. Was a great regular season and yes there are issues with the team but I think anything less that making the Super Bowl will be disappointing, it’s time for many involved with the bills for the past 6-7 years to get the monkey off their back and win the AFC.

Denver this weekend is in the same situation as the Bills in 2004 against the Steelers. Win one game at home against a team resting all it's starters and you're in the playoffs.

Ugh. At least that wasn’t a 100% win and you’re in scenario (still needed the Jets to lose at the same time we were playing - which they did), but nonetheless it was pretty inexcusable to lose like that to Pittsburgh’s second and third string when a loss 100% eliminated you.

If I’m the Bills I’m rooting hard for Denver tomorrow. The last thing you want is Cincy sneaking in the playoffs and having to deal with Burrow in round 1.

Ya think? Lol
Yeah, it's been said a lot, both locally and nationally.
I don't really feel differently but they did just play a de facto playoff game at home vs the team everyone wants to play and needed OT, fwiw.
I'm not so sure they win tonight, if the Steelers go all out. It's a vintage rah rah Tomlin spot.

Not clear whether to root for the Ravens or Browns.

Having the Ravens win gives them the easiest matchup. If Denver were to lose Miami is much weaker than the Bengals and a much better matchup. I also think Denver is better than people think. They had KC on the ropes.

So did Carolina. So did Las Vegas.

If you guys end up playing Baltimore in the divisional round I wouldn't be scared. Josh Allen elevates his play in the post season. Lamar sucks in January.

True dat. Henry scares me.

I have a bad feeling about tmrw.

If it's Cincy that would be the most Bufalo thing ever. That said just go out and beat them. Their defense is not good and their secondary especially has major issues. Higgins got hurt again and their main RB is Khalil Herbert with Brown out. Buffalo should be able to put up 40+

the bills really need to lose tomorrow. the difference in assets the Patriots can acquire in this years draft if the bills win vs bills lose is huge. Pats already have a promising QB. they are the next team to serve as a legit threat to us in our division. the schedule of that threat would be significantly expedited if the pats lose tomorrow, get the number one pick, and trade down for multiple high picks.

The patriots need to fire their coach before they are taken seriously. He’s terrible. The pats don’t want to win either, so I doubt they will

Exactly. If you cant beat a 9-8 Cinci in the first round then you certainly aren’t going to win a Super Bowl
