Bills 2024 Thread - Misery loves company

Seriously? I dislike the Chiefs more and more all the time.
Probably a fake X account but there was a tweet last weekend from someone claiming to be Vontaze Burfict saying "someone sign me and I'll end Mahomes' career."

I see the Bills wining tomorrow cuz they're better in the trenches than they've been the last couple of years. Meanwhile KC's OL is weaker than it has been, Jones and Karlaftis at DL obv very good. Just keep playing turnover free football and it will happen. Then we can enjoy watching Ryan Clark eat a sheet sandwich afterward. What's up with that guy?

Ryan Clark needs to stop trying so hard. I don’t think he’s a bad guy but it’s just sports man, quit being overly dramatic about everything, talk sports not race every time you open your mouth, it’s so tiring. He’s exhausting. I was out sick yesterday and was watching way more ESPN stuff than I ever would, he’s just everywhere just pure diarrhea of the mouth. Give it a rest.

clark did pick the bills to win but if they lose he can’t wait to talk about Josh’s failed legacy.

I've profited on some KC super bowl futures the last couple years and everything is telling me to wager a large amount on KC tomorrow as they are inevitable, but I'm afraid when I do that is when McDermott doesn't make an ass out himself and gets out the way to let Josh take it home.

Put it on KC. I want to win tomorrow desperately but this game screams Buffalo losing in some crazy fashion ala the 13 seconds. Plus if Buffalo dies somehow win you won't care about the financial hit.

I’m sure the McDermott haters will find a way to blame him for the loss regardless if the bills aren’t successful tomorrow. Some hypothetical or something, the fact of the matter is other than the two losses early in the season he’s been great this year when most bills fans had written the year off as kind of a rebuilding type. The entire organization needs to get over the hump tomorrow for so many reasons but I won’t be one calling for the coaches head if they don’t. They are playing a team on the road who is in line to try and 3 peat so could be worse.

I don't feel good about this game but a big reason is just from the trauma we've already endured. Just dreading some massive error/call/freak play to happen.

Honestly that's my thought process/concern as well. I don't think the teams are far apart talent wise and while Reid gives KC the edge at HC, McDermott has done an excellent job this year. That said playing the Chiefs it just feels inevitable Buffalo will somehow find a way to lose. 13 seconds, the Bass miss, the horrific O performance against Cincy at home, the no show against the Texans in the 2nd half etc.

Just hard to trust Buffalo against Mahomes in these types of games. Even if the regular season game replayed itself it feels like KC would find away to score and get a late onside etc and then get some fluke late acore like you note. Evej the 13 second game after Buffalo scored i turned to my wife and said they left to much time and sure enough.

Gonna root like hell for Buffalo as a life long fan but this is a game Buffalo just hasn't won the last 30+ years so its hard to feel great about it. Really hope we find away.

This has to be the Bills year, right? KC has never appeared as vulnerable as they are now and this appears to be the best version of the Bills of the past 5 years. They have to get it done today.

Nick Wright and all these former Chiefs players and media types going nuts about Shefters tweets today about the Mahomes penalties and trying to gin up some talking point for KC to feel disrespected and play harder is so Kansas City it's laughable

Idk, KC felt vulnerable last season too and I think the 13 seconds year was probably the best Bills team. The OL this year is an admittedly big difference though; hopefully it's enough to get Buffalo to the promised land.

Think our defense is significantly worse than years past but they've been able to come up with a lot of takeaways to stay afloat; we'll see if that continues today but KC has generally taken excellent care of the ball this season (though the same could be said for Baltimore until last week).

That 13 seconds will of course haunt Buffalo forever, that said it was still only the divisional round. As good as Buffalo was in the playoffs that year they still would have had to beat Cincy and the Rams, far from a lock.

I agree with you defensively, hard to trust this unit to stop Mahomes when they absolutely have to. Secondary has been iffy to say the least. Almost need a repeat of the regular season game, have to have a shot to go up 2 scores late or a score that will put them up more then a fg with under a min to go. Lastly I'm not rooting for it but an injury affecting one of the big KC guys would be something that could Play a major role vs Buffalo having a guy go down which has usually been the case.
