What he does is play to his strengths and doesn’t do things that he’s not good at. He’s also an excellent passer. As a team last night, the passing was excellent. They do a good job sharing the ball.Kyle gives me big time Kenneth Farried vibes. Not a tall center. But a big muscular dude that is an absolute freak athlete. Don’t have great offensive skills but will make a living off alley oops, fast break points and grabbing boards. Can anchor the back end of the defense. Very similar builds and play styles. If Kyle is half the player Farried is. We are in a good spot lol
Binghamton is the Washington Generals of college basketball. Them or Rutgers.I don't care about the level of competition. This is what Syracuse teams are supposed to do to Binghamton.
Tune into Siena this year, every game is like that under GmacThis is not the night for yeah it was Binghamton. We’ve suffered too many poor showings against garbage teams. A lot to be positive about.
-The first thing I loved was to buy in on defense. Our guys played hard from jump. We haven’t seen a complete defensive effort like that in a long time.
-also the difference in athleticism is glaring. We actually ran a consistent fast break and we probably had more dunks tonight than we did the entire year last year.
-George ran the point just liked we hoped and shot better than expected.
-Kiyan looks like a guy who was prepared for tonight because that’s what he’s prepared for for the past decade. Also underrated to get him off to a good start, so the pressure doesn’t build on him like it did with Buddy.
-Donnie is just scratching the surface. Once he gets more aggressive going to the basket, he will be even more effective. He is the best rebounder we have had in a long time as far as getting the ball out quickly and getting going on the fast break sometimes doing it himself with the dribble.
-it was notable that it didn’t seem like guys were in a get mine mindset other than Betsey, who only looked to shoot. Some really good looks late.
-my favorite underrated play of the night was late in the game when it looked like a guy was wide open and somehow White got all the way around him and not only was in position to play defense, but stole the ball. We have not seen athleticism and hunger on defense like that in a while.
The season is young, PadawanGeez... I was told coach is clueless and that we would suck. I guess I'll have to watch.
Shoutout to Alex Kline. Red hasn’t proven anything yetGeez... I was told coach is clueless and that we would suck. I guess I'll have to watch.
You must have been born after 2008.Even though it's just Binghamton, it's such a breath of fresh air to see Syracuse have more points than their opponent after possibly the most soul-crushing month of SU football in my lifetime.
The difference is, after the Clemson game, it felt like we had the chance to be legitimately good, but just fell off a cliff. You must have been born after 2008.
No lulls. No lulls ever again!Agree on JJ. He gonna be Coach JJ for a month.
The BIG question is can HCAA play the correct lineups at the right time.
If we get in a lull vs good teams, we’re down by 20.
Which is weird, what with all that NIL money pouring in from a certain someone.Binghamton is the Washington Generals of college basketball. Them or Rutgers.

And we're off!Shoutout to Alex Kline. Red hasn’t proven anything yet
Those starters only averaged a few points per game. Seemed like role players. But yeah, a starter is a starter. We’ll see how we play against Delaware, Drexel and Monmouth. But that game was fun to watch. With 2 starters out.
Channeling Paul Harris!Whoa, I didn't get to see the game, but Kyle was doing alleyoops all by himself?!?!?!?!?
I'm going to be optimistic and say that we would have played the same with that certain player on the team...however, i do have the same concerns re: defense. We were very efficient, didn't turn the ball over, and played good pressure defense last night.
Can't quite put my finger on it, I wonder if there was a certain player that didn't play which made it easier to play as a team?
This is what I was talking about. We were very efficient, didn't turn the ball over, and played good pressure defense last night.

I'm not a big JJ fan at all but this is a bit much. Last year he was damn near the only offensive player with a pulse when Donnie went down and he was also dealing with a hand injury. He was the only dude who could create anything off the dribble since our pg transfer was horrible and our wings had no bag. To expect his efficiency stats to improve in a year like that is not realistic. To act like he was our main problem last year (as some posts about him seem to suggest) is also kind of ridiculous when you consider the horrible supporting cast.We were very efficient, didn't turn the ball over, and played good pressure defense last night.
