Barkley is a great player but he is one-dimensional.

They guys at Cincy and Louisville are very good players.

But Daniels is the best - he throws well - short and long - and runs brilliantly. Plus, he is a four-year starter.

BJ was a one-man team out there on Saturday night. From up close one could see just how talented a guy he is.

Lets go you Orange!! Beat the Bearcats!!!

Bridgewater is a better QB, but they don't use him on designed runs much. When he runs it's on scrambles.

Look I like the optimism but Bridgewater will be the best dual threat guy we see all season ... Barkley is the best pure passer and that Franklin fella at Mizzou isn't too shabby but he is an injury trainwreck and was just finally cleared for play.

also, there's a reason why they kicked 5 FG's.

he's not as bad as people here think but you go too far. he has a low completion percentage which is fine if you have high yards per attempt (which he doesn't)

it's alarming what he did to us on the ground the last 2 years, he doesn't run like that against other big east teams

Daniels is not a good QB. He's a dangerous, great runner and a spotty passer.

I don't know Crunch and Munchie made us look really bad last year as well, Bridgewater looks like a poor mans RG3 to me as well, in the making. He can sling it. It all depends on what defense shows up... we have been really inconsistent. Is what it is I guess

Agreed. Barkley is the best QB we will face and it isn't close.

Barkley is more accurate, throws a better ball and is better at reading defenses, easily.

Maybe he can't run like Daniels, but I would rather play an inaccurate and mobile QB rather than an elite pro-style QB any day.

The BJ Daniels that we played Saturday night is very good. I was hoping he would throw some of those crappy up-for-grab balls that he has thrown in every other game I have watched him play this year. I think Munchie is prone to some of those as well. I am hoping we can contain him but pressure him enough to force him to make some bad passes. Bridgewater seems very poised. He looks like he is playing in slow motion, and he can really see his recievers and put the ball where it needs to be. That is all judged on the one game I have watched him play. I think it is very difficult to say who is the best of those three, I only hope that our defense learned from the USF game and they come out better prepared for the Bearcats.

I like to look at it as the next QB SU plays is the best qb they are going to face. Muchie is a god.

The kid can run but is a worse passer than Daniels ...

Daniels is 3rd at best. Barkley and Bridgewater are far better. After that, an argument could be made for him but a couple others could make a case too. Just because Daniels shredded us, doesn't make him better than Barkley or Bridgewater. Daniels looks like garbage as much as he looks good.

When Daniels is playing his best, he is in the top 3 of QBs we see. When he is off, he is the worst QB we see less the UConn QBs. Unfortunately, he was on every year we've seen him.

One of the big differences between uconn and USF was the control of the line of scrimmage. Against uconn we spent the day playing on their side of the LOS. In my opinion this is why Daniels had a huge day and mccombs was scrapped after 2 plays. Daniels is not very accurate. I think they were trying to make him pass with shamarko up in the box but we did not control the LOS. Skip gave us some breaks by going back to the pass. USF could win some games by going 60/40 run/pass here on out with a lot of play action vertical rainbows w Daniels on the move. I would def make Muncie beat us by having to consistently throw deep outs. Could even go cover 2 playing your corners like edge containers. In that case I would move shamarko to corner with Rishard who is actually pretty good versus the run. Abernathy scares me more than Munchie.

You ripped people a week or two ago because people were disappointed with losing and you stated that we over evaluated our own talent and set ourselves up for disappointment. You are doing the same thing but with a player on another team.

Barkley is a great player but he is one-dimensional.

Bruce Lee said he would rather fight a guy that practices 1,000 things once than someone who practices the same kick 1,000 times.

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are one - dimensional in the same way Barkley is one - dimensional.

He did, they just weren't caught.

Daniels has owned us over his career for some reason but best QB we will face, no and its not even close. Go watch tape of Daniels from earlier in the year, guy is a mental trainwreck. Barkely is the top QB with the Lville and Mizzou guys not being far behind.

Correct. Sometimes a players one dimension is great than another players multiple dimensions. There's not one person, including Holtz, that wouldn't take Barkley over Daniels.

And Buddy Ryan used to say "he can't throw when he's on his ass."

I think the comparison of Barkley to Brady and Manning is probably a stretch.

And I'm pretty sure that most DCs - including Shaffer - would say that they would prefer defending a pocket passer than a guy like Daniels.
