Blackout Looms of ESPN on YouTubeTV

FFS - ok so what are the options?

Sling TV has a one day option (orange package) for $5
Hulu with live tv for $83 with ads for non demand content
The espn with Disney package ($20/month)
The espn (unlimited) package is $30/month

And wasn’t the Marshall vs Coastal Carolina game on espn on yttv last night? How was I able to watch that?

The contract didn't expire until 11:59pm.

It used to be that whatever you recieved via your provider, was the same available sources when you used the espn app.

With the new app, can’t we just pay for espn without switching our main provider? I thought that was what just recently changed about espn app.

Looks like I’ll be scrambling to find a way to watch the game tonight, and likely cancelling YTTV and looking for a replacement to get me through fb and bb season.

If you pay for ESPN Unlimited on the app you're fine. But that's generally for people without a bundle. If you also have a bundle that includes ESPN et al you're in effect paying for the same thing twice.

I have the ESPN unlimited bundle so I should be good going forward, but these things don’t usually last long.
I know a few years ago being with Dish it was only a few days or so but missed a lot of college football games that weekend. Direct TV was worse as I think theirs was about 2-3 weeks. Seems like Spectrum also ran into an issue for a few weeks or so. Still think they are the worst of the worst and would never go back to them ever again.

My espn channels have been pulled. Put me in the camp that appreciates YTTV playing hardball and not giving in to keep my rates down. I frankly don't want to pay more and I'll live without it.

I'll be listening to the game old school style; radio (sirius). Wish me luck with Matt Park.

YTTV sent us an email this morning, says in part, "We’re committed to continuing to work with Disney to reach an agreement, but if their content is unavailable for an extended period of time, we’ll offer our subscribers a $20 credit."

An extended period huh?If ESPN isn’t back on by kickoff tonight that is the extended period in my book.Already had the better half get the free Hulu trial as I don’t expect it back on by tonight.

The same Matt park who thought sadiq white was cheering from the bench right before hitting a corner 3? He’s a stickler for the details

I went through this with DirecTV a couple of times and I switched to YTTV a few months ago. Fun fun
Me too. It looks like I'm going to try the 'day pass' with Sling TV...everything looks legit regarding no continuation. Just wondered if anyone has tried it before and can offer any advice...

Or stream Fubo for free for a few days?

I have to create a new email address to stream Fubo at this point. I use it for MASN when the Yankees are playing the Orioles or for my wife when the Phillies are playing the Nationals. But I think I've used up just about every email address this family has ever had for each trial. They don't allow a 2nd one.

I assume the Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle that comes free with Verizon Wireless will allow for tonight's game? Guess I should test that today with some replays.

SU football and basketball suck once again. Shocker.

I have the Sunday ticket with YTTV so I’m just going to ride it out with them. If I miss the rest of our trash football season or Red’s team play with 50% effort this season so be it. I’m done playing musical streaming services to watch our crap teams.
