Blackout Looms of ESPN on YouTubeTV

I don't know about Directv but Sling has a one day pass for 5 bucks.
Can you only get that once or can you get it multiple times?*

* yes, you can. But it only allows streaming on 1 device, which does not work for us.

Current plan is to try the DirecTV trial for 5 days.
If YTTV hasn't resolved things by then, then we'll likely pause that subscription.
YTTV has worked great for us and we'd prefer to keep it... but we need to see our games.

YTTV has until 6:30. At that time I'll start my DirecTV trial. Must watch the SU game tonight.

We're hosting a big Florida-Georgia game party tomorrow. Must have our local ABC channel.
I just signed up for DirecTV... time to test it.

We'll see if we like it better than YTTV.
We'll likely have to decide by Wednesday which way we go.

I did the same. The layout is awful. Yttv needs to get this figured out.

For now, we'll only use it for sports this weekend. Switch back to YTTV for other programs.
YTTV has until Wednesday until we pause our subscription with them... or cancel it.

Sorry in advance if this is a repetitive question as ive been loosely following this, but is there someone here who can tell me my options? I cancelled spectrum cable and prefer not to go back if possible. I have Espn plus in a bundle with disney and hulu. Realized last week that doesn’t get accn or accnx. What’s the best option to get all the games? Next football game is espn so that should be on espn plus but the next several bball games are accn or accnx.

I would hold off till yttv get espn back. I think it has the best features and layout.

I would assume it’s okay. As long as it has ESPN/FOX/ACCN/CW
We canceled YTTV over the summer to save some money, sonce we have an antenna on the house that gets a bunch of free channels. We tried Hulu for a month before football season. My wife did not like the interface and found it difficult to search for channels. She insisted we subscribe with YTTV. The picture quality and sports channels were the same with Hulu.

Do you know if the accn bball games at least go to on demand on espn plus afterwards? Hate to miss the beginning of the season

They do but this will be quick. They will get the deal done by mid next week.

I wouldn't assume anything is going to be on ESPN+ unless it's only on ESPN+. ESPN historically has been inconsistent as to what ABC/ESPN/ESPN2/ACCN games are also on ESPN+. And with the blackout on YTTV they know some subscribers have ESPN+ as part of bundles, like Verizon Wireless bundle, and they may not want to put games on there that are on their main channels.

I wonder if they're going to do this with any other programs. Is this a sign they're concerned about weak ratings?
