Team A

Average metrics ranking: 40.3
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 2-1 (.667)
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 1: 7.1%
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 4: 50.0%
Losses to Quadrant 4: 0

Team B

Average metrics ranking: 46.0
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 3-7 (.300)
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 1: 14.3%
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 4: 28.6%
Losses to Quadrant 4: 0

Team C

Average metrics ranking: 46.7
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 5-7 (.417)
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 1: 23.8%
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 4: 23.8%
Losses to Quadrant 4: 2

Team D

Average metrics ranking: 43.3
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 3-3 (.500)
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 1: 12.0%
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 4: 40.0%
Losses to Quadrant 4: 1

Team E

Average metrics ranking: 39.0
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 3-10 (.231)
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 1: 15.0%
Percentage of wins vs. Quadrant 4: 30.0%
Losses to Quadrant 4: 0

A-St. Mary’s
B- Louisville
C- Baylor
D- Middle Tennessee
E- Syracuse

Are my guesses.

The problem I have with this resume is that these group of factors do not form a fair basis for comparing teams and seems overly biased against the real mid majors.

Not all quadrant 1 wins are the same. They dig deeper into who the quadrant one wins are against. This is why Providence is not on the bubble for that reason. Quad 2 Wins are also quite important, and quad 3 losses also matter.

You guys don’t know how to follow directions.

Is it better if the average metrics ranking is higher or lower?

If higher is better (meaning C has the best), I would go:
C
B
E
D
A

That's kind of my point. There are so many numbers and criteria that I could ask ten people to rank these teams not only using this criteria but the others as well, and I could get ten different rankings. It's all how a person interprets the data. It's a crap shoot. Might as well flip a coin.

E = Louisville

My current last three in, last two out (assuming seven automatic bids are taken by at-large locks - could expand to as many as nine).

I have them ranked as follows...

1. Providence (C)
2. Louisville (E)
3. Saint Mary's (A)
4. UCLA (B)
5. Saint Bonaventure (D)

I hope Bona is in.
That way we can get in as well.
Louisville should be behind us.

I don't think that's how it works. ;)
It works like that.
When Drexel was left out in 2007 it was cited our loss to them might we weren’t getting in.
Bona didn’t get in 2 years ago because they lost to us and was behind us.

If Louisville gets in tomorrow I am very confident we are in.

That didn’t work with Wake last year.

We got knocked out because we had nothing in the nonconference and only 2 wins away from home.
Head to head matters a lot in the room.

Lville gets in there should be an investigation they are 0 and 11 vs the top 50.

We have nothing in the non-conference this year either except a win over Buffalo.

Maryland is a name win.
Plus our nonconference SOS is 15 and we didn’t even game it.

The committee looks at these analytics.

I prefer these blind tests when they do them for beer. Last one I did, I chose Miller Lite over Bud Light in all 3 categories, and got some cool swag along with my sample drinks.

Plus I found being blindfolded when drinking a bit more kinky than this.

Yup. Vs. Q1+Q2, SU is 7-11. Louisville is 5-13. And we own head-to-head. SOS essentially even. Literally no argument for them making the field and SU being left out.

Unless committee members were treated to hookers at Louisville

Our non conference SOS is 71.
