Boeheim should do the right thing and step down now.

We lost players X, Y and Z. With Lydon we'd be a Top 10 team.

We have far more problems to have one player put us into the top 10.

We're no better than last year with him and couldn't get ranked, we didn't really bring in a difference maker this freshman class, we'd probably win a few more games but don't think he wouldn't have been the difference to make us top 10.

“Never give up. Never!”

If despite all the talent next year, we have a bad season or a season that underperforms, perhaps then Boeheim will make the decision to step aside. He hopes to coach for 4 more years, but it may not be possible. But HE has to make that decision. He is in control. I am not sure this is about his age and I know he would vehemently disagree. We need to wait for next year, imagine great things, and perhaps have some compassion for this year’s team, who have to be feeling as if a freight train has hit them. This is an agonizing situation for all of us. It feels as if we are trembling on the brink. Will we fall or will we soar? Maybe fall, then soar?

For those of us who like to live in the moment, these are challenging moments. Ahem!

Everything is exactly the way it's supposed to be right now. We knew coming into this season that it was going to be a difficult year. I'm hoping that those who come back next year will benefit from the experience garnered this year. PC and Sidibe have made considerable progress and we will need them with the experience gained from this season for any run we make toward a title run next year. There are many reasons as to why the program is where it is at the moment but things can change dramatically from season to season. In the meantime I am committed to supporting this team and the program regardless of the outcome of any one game, portion of the schedule, or the entire year for that matter. That's what true fans do.

We had a whole different set of problems last year. Tyler was playing out of position at center. On this team he'd give us a 4th scorer and another outside threat as well as a good rebounder and shot blocker. Lydon-Chukwu-Brissett-Battle-Howard would be a heck of a line-up.

And if UCLA didn't loose Lonzo Ball and TJ Leaf
and if Kentucky didn't loose Fox, Adebayo (sp?) and monk
and if Washington didn't loose Markelle Fultz
and NC State didn't loose PG Smith
and Josh Jackson was still on Kansas
plus all the other underclassmen from the year before

AND IF PURDUE DIDN'T LOOSE SWANIGAN>>>OH WAIT THEY ARE top 10
And all the Duke, Carolina, Fl. St. etc underclassmen that left...we knew Lydon was leaving.

We wouldn't be in the top 10 w/ Lydon. Can't play what if game...foolish!

The question was - are we bringing in players that are good enough to have the good teams we are used to. yes we are. We just aren't keeping them. And when you add two defections and three injuries, we have predictable problems.

Even the guys we have just beat Louisville. They can play, too. I hope you enjoyed the game.
