Boeheim Was Too Nice, Yes Fab You Let The Team Down

The truth is none of us know the details for sure, so I will comment on that rather than on fab. Whomever is assigned to look after him could be just as much to blame, seriously.

The guy sitting next to me at the game yesterday showed me a pic on his phone his buddy sent him earlier in the day. It was Fab at JFK Airport posing with his buddy's kid. Fab said he was flying to Ft Lauderdale to "work out".

This Academic story ain't flying. I agree with the "Who was Fab's Guidance Guru":bang:

We went through all this the other day. The assumption is that Fab and Dion will both bail on this semester. That will hurt our APR, probably enough to get us banned from the 2014 tournament, however: Wes Johnson may save our collective asses by completing his degree, which does get us some credit back. So it's not a done deal that we will get a post season ban, although we are hanging on by a fingernail.

Somebody sure as hell better make sure Brandon Reese counts toward our APR.

I've never heard this option before. Is this really an option? What is the time-frame for doing so?

I just find it hillarious that 2 guys leaving in bad standing can result in a ban 2 years later hurting kids who had nothing to o with it...funny how uk gets these guys to pass, im sure cousins wall orton bledsoe etc were going to class 2nd semester, gimme a break

He's a bad guy. Sorry, I've stayed away from this topic all year, and maybe this will get nuked, but I wouldn't let any woman I remotely care about be around him for a second. And he let his team down because Chuck's is more important to him than staying eligible.

Good riddance.

That is what UConn is arguing on appeal. The NCAA is punishing the current kids on the team for the sins of guys who left the program 2 years ago. But the NCAA won't care. What they want is for the schools to stop recruiting faux students who leave to go to the NBA or play overseas and stop going to class after the last game. I think what will happen is schools will set up an elaborate system of social promotion with rigged grades.

Check out this thread: http://syracusefan.com/threads/apr-one-more-time.22587/

Lots of great info from Knicks411, pfister1, and ottomets. pfister brought up the former students coming back to help the APR angle on page 3. I know Wes was on campus finishing course work during the lockout, don't know about others, but it was implied that one or more than one former guy is working on completing the degree. Maybe CTO has insight into which former players are actively working on their degrees at the moment.
