Boeheim's Army vs We Are D3 Gameday...

Nichols is right. I posted after the first Game that offense was good and everything else was mediocre or poor, including rebounding and effort.

Everything I was concerned about, was exposed.

Offensive rebounding, was worse than terrible, it was non existent. Defensive rebounding was just plain terrible.

Shot selection, terrible, our bigs jacking threes with nobody under the basket early in the clock.

Effort, terrible. Nobody going for loose balls, D3 wanted it more.

Coaching, horrible. McCullough and Hughes on the bench most of the second half? What?

Three guys played with passion, Buddy, Jimmy and Gilyard. Everyone else there either wasn’t good enough or did not try hard.

If you don’t plan on giving 100%, don’t bother playing. That performance was a joke.

But we also saw with, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, etc., that the less talented teams that want it more and play real basketball will beat a bunch of lazy guys who mail it in.
I talked to a friend who talked to a "We Are D3" player working out at the Bville YMCA.

They knew from the Herkimer game most of BA's players were out of shape. They were confident they could win with Hustle and tight defense.

Main reason for us fans to treat the TBT as a non-serious tournament as the players treat it as such.

Yea I can't believe they haven't upped the prize amount. Barely seems worth it for some guys that are making at least decent money overseas and or G League and or made and saved/invested when they were younger making better money. Either way some of the younger guys playing in the tourney that actually need the money more are of course going to be more motivated.

Pair that with the fact some likely get paid just to be on the roster and the incentive isn’t there to be in top shape.

do we really need an article written on this? it's something like ...

team of nobodies that work 8-5 jobs who live closeby to each other play year round, and develop chemistry, and can play as a team in tournaments, and if they have a modicum of talent and height, are going to be pretty competitive. will they win, who knows, but they'll give the out of shape / unmotivated / unprepared teams a run for their money.

team of players who have real talent, but play throughout the world, and who come together as a team for first time like day before or day of tourney and don't develop much as a team are probably gonna struggle.

they found that balance once, but it's probably hard with the expected "guy" arriving the night before.

We Are D3 95, Fail Harder 93

D3 had a TWENTY point lead going into the Elam Ending and almost blew it.

It was 86-66 at the break.
they said it took 36 minutes to play the Elam ending, got outscored 9-27

That's cause they reviewed every damn call when it out of bounds. Give the coach's a challenge or two and that's it. It seems like almost every call is correct by the official who made it. That's what they get paid for and if by chance they do miss one, oh well, same thing could have happened in the second quarter but no one cared about it at that time.
