The 10 man is an issue obviously, but the defense looks really strong, especially the rope unit which we were all worried about.

Because it is hard to clear against the 10 man. 1st game lets see if they can finish more like the half ended. Lot of new personnel taking major responsibility on the clears, which were largely the Carter Rice Sam English show.

Noticed McCarthy out there a few times on defense, don't mind it I think his footwork is solid. That said, so far I'm a little concerned about Beck and Bowens footwork.

We will take 6-3. Defense looks quality when settled. Offense looking understandably like it is adjusting to new personnel, mainly no Hiltz, but also missed some golden looks. Between Johnny Mullen and the defense I am not too worried. Obviously have to limit the 10 man errors. Nothing ticks me off more than a full field shot that can be saved by a defender. Did not like that from Dwan late.

but it shouldn't because it's no different than a hit. normally i'm trying to interpret why something was called on any boards. if it was from anything but the front, they had it right.
different ref maybe won't call that. tho obviously, at least one will. me, great play by the ssdm to show he's up for the d when challenged. maybe next time he won't toss him around like a ragdoll, ha.

Yeah I mean it has only been one half of a long season but that 3rd spot could be a work in progress the first month or so.
