Bowl projections

Location doesn't matter to me because I won't be going regardless. I would prefer a Power 5 opponent. But regardless, I will be thrilled to have SU football to look forward to during the holiday season like so many other fanbases. Let's get it done!

Sounds like your vote would go to the Holiday Bowl then. Since no ACC school is going to travel well across to the West Coast anyway; might make sense for ACC to try to send Syracuse, which has as many alumni in the area as any ACC institution.

I don’t care which bowl we go to, I just want us to win it. Figure we have two full seasons of Tuck before he goes to the NFL and would like to have two bowl wins for both.
This is a presumption built on a prediction but next year with him we probably fall into the “zero upside so sitting out the bowl game” zone. I’ll take that problem over not having players to have that difficult choice to make.

I hear ya, but you never know. My main point was the final result of our full seasons with him in their totality though.

With a name like SanDiegoCuse I will take your word for it!
However, the ACC fills a slot and this is new. The Holiday Bowl really makes sense for some of the private schools. We aren't expected to sell a ton of tickets...but, we also usually have alumni out on the West Coast too. I could see Syracuse in contention with just 7 wins. If we have 8 wins we are probably a slam dunk. They are playing at the Padres home field so it has one of those funky seating charts. San Diego is a great trip.

The game is Tuesday, Dec 28th at 5pm (8pm NY time)

First thing I thought too...3 straight years of Purdue is too much.
This combined with ND in 3/5 future OOC games is tough. We can use some cupcakes after all. Not complaining about the ND games though, that will be cool.

Those are good points. My wife went to University of Washington so we are pulling for that matchup. Haha.

7 wins might work and yeah it’s at Petco Park. We live right down the street. Amazing food and breweries all around.

If we get this bowl...you'll be our local expert...if you so choose

Sporting news put us in Tucson Arizona vs. K State. So far 8 out of 10 projections have us in a bowl. Of the 8 we are projected in 7 different games, the only one to get two votes is Military.

I wouldn't make travel plans after we beat Louisville.

I'd wait until after we beat Pitt.

Unless everything you book is fully refundable.
Agreed. That’s a game that is winnable and the seniors will be pumped for it.

I’ll be more interested in these bowl projections after I see a 6 under the win column. Since I will be instantly making travel plans.

I would hold off on any travel plans until the bowl destination is decided if we get to 6 wins.

Things change in the world of deciding bowls in a second and anything can change
