Brady beats the NFL

My guy lost.
I will say this if you believe he is guilty that is your right but no evidence ever provided it. All this did was show Goodell is a god over the players and the NFL will have a long workstoppage in 2020.

Kaiser I would insult you but you actually think Donald Trump would be a good President that right there disqualifies you in my mind on a lot. Brady was railroaded if you believe in fairness which you clearly don't and want to just troll Pats as you dislike Boston sports teams. What Roger Goodell got away with is digusting and I will leave it at that.

It won't be a long work stoppage. About the same length as the last one IF they even have one. The NFL is willing to give in on this issue and get power out of Goodell's hands. They just don't have to now so they fought it and won cause they could. When the CBA comes up (if Goodell is even in power still, he might just retire) they will be more than happy to have the commish give up this power and come up with a better way.

It will be long because the players will want a lot next CBA.
They will want more of the pie. They will want more guaranteed contracts. They will want the discipline.
Goodell has nuked relations with the NFLPA just because Woody/Mara/Biscotti/Irsay/Ross wanted to stick it to Kraft.

What Goodell did in this case was make himself judge, jury, executioner without being fair and even proving guilt.
Even if you hate the Pats has to be clear.

Also with the pats at home 3 of those 4 with a top 10 D I believe they will go 2-2 or 3-1.

DeMarcus Ware got 4 games for beating his girlfriend. Tom Brady got 4 games for being generally aware of something science proved was a cause.
#ingrity keep selling that pink Roger.
I am disappointed but if the Pats go 2-2 it will be damage done if they go 3-1 no damage and if Jimmy G does well he will fetch draft capital.

I think he will be a better POTUS than HRC.

which isn't saying much.

but on tommy boy.

he ordered the code red.

I know it. you know it. every geddamn football fan in the world knows it.

whether or not that was provable in a court of law was never a concern of mine.

nor was it, nor should it be...a concern to the great, Commissioner Goodell.

it was gamesmanship for sure, 1 that only benefited him as well, but one that was a little too far over the line.

not that far, not worth 4 games.

but the arrogance of the coverup and the telling of the NFL to basically go F themselves...yeah, that's worth 4 games.

he hurt the Shield.

don't F with my Shield.

Yeah he ordered the Code Red that weather took care of.
Brady hurt the shield yeah he believed in innocent until proven guilty and didn't beat his wife in a casino like Ray Rice. 2 games

Or he didn't drive his car 120 miles an hour with a 5 year old kid in the backseat like Sheldon Richardson. 1 game.

Goodell hurts the shield by his very existence he is Zod.

Hating the Patriots is fine but what Goodell did was disgusting and honestly opened my eyes to how much of a railroad job the Saints got in Bountygate. If you don't prove a prima facie case to find someone guilty then that is a problem.

I going to pretend you didn't type that and/or believe it.
.
I don't care to pull unrelated suspensions into this discussion, theyre all different and this case would've been different...if brady didn't pull a hrc...and LIE and OBSTRUCT JUSTICE.

prima facie, was all we needed...especially since he really didn't care to prove his innocence.

he just demanded he be set free.

it should've been 2 knocked down to 1. or 1 knocked down to a nice fine.

but he didn't play ball, he disrespected the Shield.

. 4 games.

serve away pretty boy.

I believe he is guilty of not cooperating with the investigation, which is ultimately why he got dinged so hard. Could really care less about the footballs thing. Could it provide an advantage? Yeah, I guess. If he had nothing to hide, then cooperate with the investigation. Hell, maybe it would have ended up completely exonerating him.

EDIT: And to be clear, even after saying that, I don't believe that the way the disciplinary system is currently set up, with Goodell as judge, jury and executioner, is equitable. So while I didn't support Brady and his appeals, I do support the NFLPA and their appeal to reduce the commissioner's power (even though they were the ones that gave it to him in the first place).

Pat fans are more cultist than PSU fans. At least some PSU fans admit wrong doing. Pats fans are crazy with their conspiracy theories.

Yeah your right defending Tom Brady and Bill Belichick is like defending a coach who covered up child rape and hired a DC who was rapping kids. This is a disgusting post good job buddy.

Have a good weekend.

Missing my point. I am referring to the cult like behavior not the crime. The PSU crime is much much much much worse. But the wide spread denial is worse from Pats fans. The cult like behavior is disturbing.

Right. Out of respect for the board I am not going to respond to your post. If you actually believe what you do I don't want to waste the time dealing with someone who has a right to think whatever they want but believes what you said.

What he correctly stated, was that you new englanders are cultists.

Just like the ped staters are cultists, except they were cultists for a long time before you newbies were. Their scandal, just puts a spot light on the dark side of being a cultist.

Just like all the patsy scandals expose you newbie fans as cultists who don't pay attention to common sense.

I hope every year you are still sending Bill Parcells a Christmas card...just a thanks, for making patsy football relevant.

He was not comparing the crimes...at all.

And on the week where the Bills find out Brady is out for the first 4 games, we're busy getting running backs arrested and suspended. We just can't have nice things.

Parcells helped turn the team around but the team was quite good in the late 70's and did advance to Super Bowl 20 in 1985.

The team had a bad stretch with Rod Rust and Coach Mac but they weren't a nothing organization.

Ask any Patriots fan about Sugar Bear Hamilton and the screwjob the Pats got in Oakland in the late 70's. An awful roughing the passer call screwed the Pats from reaching Super Bowl XI and that team likely beats the Vikings.

Not that you as a Giants fan care but the Pats don't have a Cardinals or Lions history without Belichick.

Parcells helped for sure but knock this crap.

Von Miller just got $70 mill guaranteed. The salary cap goes up every year now. The players are making money hand over fist. The Players aren't gonna bitch too much and want they are happy the way things are going. They aren't gonna rock the boat.

The NFL wants the commissioner job split up into 2 parts so one person isn't doing it all. You will see Roger Goodell (or whoever) do the money part of the job. Work on TV deals, teams relocating, setting up games in London, working with teams on new stadiums...etc. Then you will see someone else (Probably Troy Vincent) who is in charge of all on field matters like this Brady thing would have fallen under. The players will want an ex-player in that role.

The NFL wants this, they don't want 1 man to have all the power. The reason they did what they did here with the Brady thing is because they could by rule and lots of other owners forced Goodell to do this because they felt Roger gave Kraft special treatment. But you will see the commissioners job split up come the next CBA and the owners/league is fine with that.

good lord, I agree with stern.

Goodell has been a great commish, you can tell by all the bitching that hes killing it.

but having a league disciplinarian, a pitbull if I may, will also be forthcoming...but a lot of the penalties will be laid out in advance.

spy gate was worse than we all imagined.

maybe in the next CBA, we will have something that says the players will actually practice...

The fact you think Goodell has been a good Commish is laughable. The guy is drunken mad POS with power to do whatever he wants for whatever he wants.
If you don't knell before Zodell he is crazy.

Goodell was overturned by Tags on Bountygate. Goodell isn't a lawyer and doesn't understand the law or due process . He gets booed wherever he goes and Kaiser likes him. He has been good for the owners and getting every ounce of money be can for them. For fans he is drunken mad. He showed how weak the NFLPA is at negotiating when he doesn't have to be fair in due process or show actual guilt to suspend whoever he wants.

If you knell before Zodell like Ray Rice or Richardson he is light on you if you make him treat you like you should be treated he is mad. Goodell is the biggest POS in sports.

What you don't seem to get is that the NFL does not have to adhere to the same standards as a court of law. It is a closed club made up of owners. Those owners put Goodell in charge. The players have a CBA with the owners. They agreed to the powers and process that the commissioner undertakes. They do not need due process. You keep looking at this from a lawyer's POV which doesn't matter.
