Gotta be honest - I don’t get this sentiment. All things being equal, every male on the planet would take a 24 yr old over a 40 yr old. It comes down to biology, and that is not ever going to change (no matter how much our screwed up society tries to shame men into believing otherwise). Saying “He should stick to 40 year olds!” always sounds to me like jealousy that he has access to women the person complaining about him doesn’t. Or bitterness from 40 year old women that no longer have access to the high status men they did in their 20s.

Good for Lane, and good for Bill Belichick. I’ve never like Lane, but somehow knowing he’s pulling 20 year olds makes me like him just a little bit.

Steve Spurrier disciple. Can't really be a big boy but will luck into situations that appear to keep him relevant. Bully weaker teams to appear much bigger than you really are. See Frank Beamer and VATech, paper tiger. When the big boys come around, take your butt whipping, make excuses, downplay the losses.

Don't get me wrong, each team should seek to beat their opponent and run up the score high enough to control the game/ensure the win, but at some point, it is O.K. to ease off the gas pedal.

Paid professionals? If they were high school kids I would agree with you. Why should Kiffin take it easy on Duke and Manny? I am having a tough time understanding that? he felt they were snubbed in the CFP, he's made that very clear. He came out and blew out an undermanned Duke in a bowl game, more of Duke issue that a Lane issue.

I also don't think Ole Miss should have been in the playoff but Kiffin disagrees. This will happen moving forward, just like there are plenty of P4 bubble teams that get left out of the hoops tournament every year so a lesser team. I understand there are only 12 spots but he is one of teh final 3 out and those guys are always going to complain

Of course Kiffin is going to stick up for his team. And yes, he does everything in his own unique way.

The more people hate on him, the more he enjoys it. I find him entertaining in that way.

One thing I don't find entertaining, or care even a little bit about, is Duke football.

He’s an arrogant, childish douche who is such a narcissist that he couldn’t objectively determine himself that his team didn’t belong in the playoff so he had to take it out, like a child, on an undermanned squad in a bowl game. On top of that he’s been lashing out on social media, like a child, for weeks.

Other than that he’s a great guy. I’m sure he’ll tell you that too :D

Kiffin has already done the 24-year-old thing. He married a rather stunning blond. They had 3 kids (all around 20 now) and then she divorced him.

Then remember the mess with the Raiders, and Al Davis's press conference, where Al basically described Kiffin as the lowest of lowlifes.

Easy to pile on the guy, but he brings a lot of it on himself.

I would have loved to see us play them.
They would not blow us out, think it would be a good game.
But what I really wouldve been interested in seeing is HCFBs reaction if Kiffen tried to run it up on us. God forbid.

I love Kiffin. He’s a great football coach and I also like coaches who have an edge to their personality.

I would’ve been vocal about the snub and I also would’ve smashed Duke. Nothing wrong with either imo.

smashing Duke was fine. Leaving the starters in is just stupid. But he does it normally so not a big surprise.

I find it hard to believe no backups were in the game, like lineman and guys on D. Even so, we left McCord in the entire game and throwing passes. We leave Allen in entire games to. Darts last TD pass with 2 minutes left was 20 yards and Duke DBs collided turning it into a 69 yarder. That’s on them.

I don’t know, wirh our Swiss cheese D and and with the opposite team on a mission, our game never really felt like it was over. Zero issue playing whom we did til the end
