“Everyone else’s feelings say this. Your feelings say that. Because Everyone is more, everyone is right and you are wrong.”

Imagine if that’s how life worked.

"Not a great look" to call out completely unsubstantiated BS, and offer the correct information?

You've chosen an odd hill to die on in this thread.

I admitted I was wrong about Gerry dunking. I’d never seen him dunk (I’d wager a lot that most haven’t) and heard a story from a co-worker who went SU that GMac tried and couldn’t dunk. I wasn’t coming in hot like, ‘GMac couldn’t dunk, me and my dad and Baby Jesus saw it, and you’re dumb if you think he could!! Rabble rabble rabble!’

Lol.

My reference to the nonsense was your comment that you’re seeing a pattern. I hardly use anecdotal evidence in my arguments and it seemed you were implying I do, or that I make things up out of thin air, based on the preceding paragraph in your post. That’s kind of Bush league and objectively untrue. But maybe you were referring to some other pattern..

I'm referring to your congenital incapability of admitting that you were wrong. That's the pattern.

Don't get mad at other posters for calling you on inaccurate information, get your facts straight, if you base strongly stated opinions on false stuff, don't get your panties in a bunch when you get called on it.

And don't blame others for disagreeing with stuff that you believe to be true, that is in fact false.

Lol

I tend to have my facts straight when I cite statistics. One poster even put me on ignore because he was bummed I got the stats right.

I admitted Gerry dunked when presented with the evidence.

So, where/when am I not admitting I’m wrong?

The oddest thing about this is I’m a huge GMac fan and don’t think Girard is nearly as good as Gerry was. Saying a 6’1” guy couldn’t dunk wasn’t meant as an insult to him but it was sure taken that way. I think Kadary is the future and going to be a monster. I think Buddy plays too much and JB needs to be open to criticism and step up in certain areas.

Whatever. Shame on me for engaging in debate. When RF is coming in with trash, time to for a break.

If you’re under the impression that the “eye test” is close, I have to wonder when you last watched GMac was? Memories can be misleading.

GMac might’ve been slow compared to Jason Hart, but he was in another league from Joe.
The only thing Joe can dunk is a donut in his coffee:)

The zone doesn’t work without a Center.
And yet we keep playing it. It’s not like Sid went down in game 5. There was time to adapt and make adjustments.

You joke, but in 50-100 years it could happen. Once global warming and massive droughts/fires/flooding make the south and west uninhabitable, CNY will be paradise.
Haven't lived in the Cuse for 30 years, but have started thinking about it in the future if the coast keeps rising.

Horrible stat. If Kadary deflects a ball that ends up in Marek’s hands, guess who gets the steal and it’s not the defender who made the play.
In the NBA it is.

Given the circumstances, his pass to Devendorf for the game winning layup against Georgetown might be the best pass in SU history?
No doubt. That Gmac to Devo pass was great and happened on a huge stage in a big game. But Wallace’s pass to Cipolla to tie the game at the end of regulation in the Sweet 16 against Georgia in ‘96 was a higher degree of difficulty and came in an even more monumental game.

Where are the mods that are so quick to jump on a post that’s gone off the rails? Why hasn’t everyone been told to take this to another post?
Hiding from the flooding and pestilence.

I love these meandering threads. When the mods warn to keep it on topic, it’s their way of telling us that we “are not having fun the right way.”

Why don’t we ask coach next week? I’m sure G-Mac and Joe battle a bit at practice...

You know, if the nepotism question everyone’s hankerin’ on don’t take too long.

but ha, what does that old codger know about athleticism and skill sets?
