Brian Kelly Philosophy On Building A Program

Interesting to hear Brian Kelly’s philosophy on building/rebuilding a college football team.

Kelly said his main focus in recruiting has been OL, TE, and WR’s (6’3 or bigger) to build a Notre Dame team that is capable of competing for a national title.

Dino should have a conversation with Kelly about this philosophy and in particular the OL in the off-season if he truly wants to rebuild the SU program. Either that or John Wildhack should bring Clark Lea back to SU as the head coach when Dino departs.

Maybe not this year though I'm not sold on Ohio State yet. But if he keeps recruiting studs like true Kyren Williams and Michael Mayer then it might not take long. Those two are the two best in the country at their respective positions. Williams reminds me of your boy Zeke back when Zeke could play before he got paid. Mayer would be a first round draft pick right now as a freshman.

That is because they didn't have Lawrence and tried to take away Etienne. They still gave up a bunch of points. I have to see how they play in the Acc title game before I'm sold.

I put Ohio State at 4.
They haven’t done anything to show me they are close what they were last year.
Their defense isn’t as good as Notre Dame’s.

Ohio State misses a JK Dobbins type RB for their offense.

I would take Notre Dame on a neutral field with Ohio State this year.

I really think outside of the top 4 in your list only Florida could beat any of the top 4.
Notre Dame would beat the rest of your top 10 by multiple scores.
