I'm a physical therapist and I have to say that looked like as positive an anterior drawer test as any on tv. ACL tear.

George McDonald said that Ashton Broyld, on his way off the field, told him that he didn't think it was a serious injury.

He really is pretty horrible as an OC. He gets to dam cute. They couldnt stop us between the tackles just couldnt and right when we have them cool kid has to get cute and try some ing play that puts us in a 2nd and long good coaches keep going to the well again and again until the other team can stop you. We should have won this game going away but he gets so dam cute and blows the game. I hope he ends up back in Miami as he really sucksIf today established anything, it's that George McDonald doesn't know very much.

no doubt that knee was somewhat unstable and showed at least some laxity in the ACL and as evidenced by the sleeve on it he's been having issues with it. He's effectively done in terms of being a major factor whether they risk playing him or not.Thought the same exact thing. Blew my knee out in college and when I saw them testing him, I was like damn he tore his ACL. I'd be shocked if it wasn't, I really hope we're wrong.

If it is a serious injury and they decide to shut AB down for the remainder of the season, I think he's eligible to RS...correct?no doubt that knee was somewhat unstable and as evidenced by the sleeve on it he's been having issues with it. That is my understanding, also.If it is a serious injury and they decide to shut AB down for the remainder of the season, I think he's eligible to RS...correct?

If so...option to get a year back...in 5-7 it might be a moot point for a bowl.5-7.
no one (I don't think at least) is saying torn ACL.....yet. You'd be amazed at how on MRI the ligament shows up intact yet on orthopedic eval can be all loose and lax, yet intact without a large tear. Kind of like with a meniscus cartilage tear, you can play but your effectiveness/abilities are reduced, not to mention the risk of further injury. People find it surprising that there's all sorts of people walking around with some degree of torn ACL's but still functional with no need for surgical intervention, for the non athletes amongst us.Shafer says he'll miss a couple of weeks, and surgery is not necessary.
How did we get to "torn ACL" and done for the year?

Yes. I did a brief google search and it looks like the cutoff is 30% of the season. So he's playing in 3 of 12 so far so he should qualify. But hopefully it won't come to that and he really will be back in a few weeks
