Seems like Wildhack put up with a lot of nonsense and did a good job overall. However, I never loved having a Newhouse guy in charge of the athletic program. Blair comes from this world. You can hear it the details of how he talks. I'd be thrilled with this hire. All in.

That happens. I've done it plenty myself. This hire totally makes sense considering that Blair has more direct experience in this type of setting.

So insider info can change. If you bomb the interview, you bomb the interview. Another guy delivers in the interview like this guy.

Seems like a good hire to me.

I think I would have preferred Carp due to his industry connections and positioning us for realignment down the line, was seemingly a bigger "heavy hitter" in the industry. But hey if we win and have great NIL, this seems like it would be great and conference realignment would sort itself out
